Another class assignment finished. We had to recreate a master work with the techniques we have learned this session. I chose Peter Paul Rubens “Two Satyrs.”
Below are the steps I took in doing a nude figure painting. I started with a grisaille under painting, then used glazes from a dead color palette and finally glazes from a full color palette to create the final painting. 18″ x 24″ oil painting on canvas board.
This is a sketch I’ve been working that will be part of a larger piece when finished. playing around with some ideas right now. Ink, graphite, white ink on toned paper.
Turtle teaches us to go with the flow and slow down.
